Question by whadaya: How do I use java or is it utilized automatically?
I just downloaded and installed JAVA. I need it for an on-line college course. How do I access it or does it just enhance an already existing program?

Java is automatically accessed and used when any application calls it forth. You may not know it, but many Internet websites use Java, especially those that look very complicated or interactive. No need to start it up yourself or anything, only thing Java will need from you is permission to update itself once in a while.
